Wave length.

Wavelength is a conceptual product designed to invert the traditional power dynamic of brand deals. Instead of forcing creators to wait for inbound requests or accept rigid corporate briefs, Wavelength empowers digital creators including designers, youtubers, gamers, lifestyle bloggers, etc. to proactively pitch authentic, creative partnership concepts directly to the brands they care about.

The Challenge

(01)

While analyzing influencer marketing content on TikTok, I noticed a systemic issue

The idea for Wavelength was sparked purely by observation. While analyzing influencer marketing content on TikTok, I noticed a systemic issue: corporate brand partnerships consistently felt forced, clinical, and detached from the creator's true voice.

The design challenge I set for myself was to own the complete lifecycle of a web platform from initial product definition to a fully tested, high-fidelity functional prototype. I needed to build a workspace that resolved the tension between two user segments: creators fiercely protective of their audience's trust, and brands seeking genuine, high-engagement digital campaigns.

Discovery & Foundational Research: I initiated the project by mapping the problem landscape using a formal UX research framework. I conducted user interviews, synthesised qualitative findings into detailed empathy maps, and prioritised features based on my user feedback & needs. This research ensured every feature built directly addressed a verified creator pain point.

  • User Persona Validation: I built comprehensive user personas like Sara, a vision-first creator who refuses to compromise her values for a quick payout. I analysed core pain points, identifying that creators are deeply fatigued by transactional, generic brand templates and messy communications hidden in email threads or social media DMs.

  • Ideation & Low-Fidelity Wireframing: Moving from strategy to execution, I sketched out early low-fidelity interface layouts and user flows (visible below) to rapidly iterate on profile builders and the pitch creation process.

The Approach

(02)

I mapped out the entire user journey from scratch

Building the Platform's Logic: After figuring out what creators and brands needed, I sat down and mapped out how the entire platform would actually function. I completely mapped out the user journey from scratch. Designing everything from the initial sign-up screens and a searchable marketplace, down to a private dashboard where creators can pitch and track their brand deals.

  • Bringing the Visuals to Life: I wanted the design to feel fresh and modern, but it also had to be highly practical. I designed clean, high-fidelity layouts that could handle a lot of information without feeling cluttered. I focused on making sure the trickiest parts of the app, like custom pitch builders felt incredibly simple and easy to use.

  • Testing It with Real Users: Since this was a concept I built entirely from scratch, I wanted to prove that the layout actually worked in practice. I set up user tests to track exactly how people interacted with my prototype. I gave them a specific task; finding a brand and sending a creative pitch, so I could watch for any points where they got stuck or confused.

Key Learnings & Outcome

(03)

Taking an idea from my head to a fully operational web layout was a massive level-up.

Designing Wavelength forced me to step completely away from the comfort zone of mobile screens and think critically about web layouts, information hierarchy, and accessibility across a much larger canvas.

Seeing users navigate the prototype seamlessly proved that the core concept works, but it also showed me exactly where I want to take this platform next. Moving forward, my goal is to fully close the "off-app" gap by building the actual contract signing and payment structures directly into the interface, running a deep accessibility audit, and expanding user tests to uncover deeper edge cases. This project set a brand new baseline for how I approach product design from end to end.
